Are you on Polyvore?
If you know about polyvore.com, then you already know why this website is amazing. Instead of reading this article, you can head over to polyvore and create a few sets 😉
If you have never been on Polyvore, read on to find out what polyvore.com is and why it may become your favorite website!
A website you can spend hours on…
I only recently found out about polyvore.com. This website has been around for a LONG time, too! Like, since 2007. And while I just found out about it now, in 2013, there are 20 million unique visitors to this site each month. So while it is certainly not new, I’m glad I found out late rather than never.
Why am I writing about polyvore.com and what does it have to do with quinceaneras? Because if you are on my website, you are likely interested in fashion: clothes, shoes, jewelry, bags, hats: and how it all goes together. I literally feel like it is my duty to spread the word about polyvore to my readers. My step-daughter Bianca loves Polyvore and creates sets almost daily now (check out her sets here!)
A few of Bianca’s sets:
Have you ever noticed the sets on Pinterest, that are often very catchy, with an outfit plus accessories? This set was likely created on polyvore.com.
Polyvore is a website where you can create sets from items that have been added to the polyvore.com database. There are millions of items (I’m not sure if it is literally millions but there are a lot of items) that you can use to create different outfit combinations and looks. You can even add items to the polyvore database with their clipper tool.
Here are some of my sets:
So if you are into fashion and designing, here is a warning for you: you may become obsessed with polyvore.com and spend a ton of time on there, especially at first! This article explains all of the ins & outs of polyvore. You can search for items based on price, color, and other keywords. Polyvore.com is also social, so you can follow your friends and people whose style you like.
Are you already on polyvore or are you going to make one? If you have quinceanera related sets made on polyvore that you would like to pin to our group polyvore board, leave me a comment (on this post or on Pinterest, with your Pinterest name) and I will be sure to add you! This board is for any quince-related set that was made on polyvore.com! Ideas: quince shoes, dama dresses, mother of the quince–or whatever quince set you dream up!
