We may have an advertising relationship with the stores we link to in this post. Thank you!

I love Pinterest

You have no doubt heard of Pinterest, or maybe you are already a member. If you are a member, you already know how amazing the website is–and you may even already have your own quinceanera board!  If not–read on–and find out exactly why Pinterest will be your best friend during the quinceanera planning process.

Pinterest is awesome for quinceanera planning

Pinterest is usually described as an online pinboard, which almost sounds boring. However, this website and concept is anything but boring. I was reluctant to join Pinterest, thinking whats the point?, and online pinboards..O-KAAAAY. Now, if you asked me to give up Facebook or give up Pinterest, I’m sorry, but Facebook will have to go. Because I have made my personal Pinterest page into something that is so awesome to me: its a place where I collect goals, things I want, places I have been and places I want to go, food I want to eat and SOOO much more.

Here is how it works: you join Pinterest (very easy now–it used to require an invitation to join, but now you join immediately). You are then given suggestions on people to follow, and “boards” to create.

Your main object on Pinterest is to create boards that reflect what you love and what is important to you. You may have a board for clothes, another for food, and another or makeup. You can have 2 boards or 102 boards. Or you can get more specific: say you love..skirts. You can create a board just for all of the amazing skirts that you would love to own.

And..a few more!

How to find the skirts: you search for them on Pinterest. “Black skirt”, “floral skirt”, “long skirt”, “sequin skirt”–chances are you will turn up results for pretty much whatever you look for. You can search for skirts in pins, or you can locate other boards that have skirts on them. Or, say you saw a few skirts at Forever 21 that you really want. You can “pin” an item from the Forever 21 (or really ANY) website, directly to your “skirts” board.

Pinterest and Quinceanera Planning: So, what does mean for quince planning? Your quinceanera board will essentially be the vision board for your party. You can find ideas and party accents on Pinterest that you never even thought of. Some of the things you find will make you feel so excited over and over again for your party.

It means that you can turn to Pinterest to not only get an absolute TON of ideas for your party, but also keep track of your ideas as well. You can gather ideas for dresses, quinceanera themes, shoes, dama dresses, centerpieces, cakes, quinceanera photography–pretty much anything and everything related to your party.

Pinterest will make you feel like the ultimate party planner–and inspired to plan the ultimate quince. There is also a huge amount of cool DIY party planning ideas on Pinterest–check out what we have on our Quinceanera DIY board. DIY often means budget friendly–and practically every quinceanera has to work within her budget to accomplish big things.

Being able to track your ideas is a huge benefit. Planning a quince is practically as intense as planning a wedding, and you need lots of organization to stay on track. Also, sometimes you are stuck between a few dresses–or a few cakes-or a few this or that. No worries–pin them all and sleep on it. But at least you won’t lose that amazing bouquet you found, or the perfect quince tiara–which is essentially the whole beauty of Pinterest!

Of course, once you have your Pinterest page set up–make sure to follow us! We love finding, creating and sharing new pins for our quinceanera boards–pretty much daily! Do you already have an awesome quince board? We’d love to follow you! Send us a link to your quinceanera board to myperfectquince@live.com, or comment on one of our pins with your link.  Happy planning! & Happy Pinning!! 🙂

  1. My dress color is a blush color and the jewels are silver. I was wondering if you could give me an idea on what color shoes I should wear and the color of the dresses of my damas.

  2. I want a mint dress I always like the Tiffany blue idea. But I’m obsessed with the old Hollywood theme or Great Gatsby would it be find to have this dress or would it look bad? Really need help!!

    1. I think tiffany blue is a timeless color, that would work great with most themes, including the two themes you mentioned 🙂 Just add gold, or black to your theme colors, Sarah
