Often, you will have your quinceanera dress picked out before you make many other choices, such as color scheme or quince theme. SO, a common question is, “what theme goes with a purple (or red, pink, green and so on) dress?”.
I created this little guide to give you ideas for which themes go well with many various colors.
The following charts have suggestions for themes based on dress colors, or your color scheme. Some themes seem to be able to go well with many colors (at least in my opinion), for example, the Paris theme.
I definitely didn’t come up with every possible theme for each color. This guide is more of a starting point to help you get ideas based on your dress color 🙂

So my quince is a beach/under the sea kind of theme, but I don’t know what I kind do for decorations at a cheap price. Also for my venue I’m having the party in my backyard, but I don’t know how I could set the tables up or anything of that matter. Please help
(This is so long I am so sorry!!!) I am turning 15 next February,but we are doing my Quinceañera around May/June since the weather is nice during that time. There are two dresses I have in mind that I truly am torn apart. The first one is http://www.morilee.com/quinceanera/quinceanera_vizcaya/89007 (in the Coral color) and it is the dress I wish to have, the only problem is that one of my breasts is bigger than the other, so I am very self conscious about my appearance on that (and I dont want to go through the trouble of fixing the dress all up because the support could fall during the surprise dance)Then there is my mom’s pick http://www.morilee.com/quinceanera/quinceanera_vizcaya/89001 which I love but then again I am not the most comfortable with dresses close to my neck. And I never imagined myself in that Halter-type style. I am short/chubby and I am mildly tan. So my mom said the style of the blue dress would give me the illusion of making me appear slimmer and taller. But I love the coral one a lot. Also with my skin tone, these two dresses match very well with it, so I am very confused. If I choose the coral then I will do Under The Sea theme and if I choose the blue one I will do Royal Garden themed party. Which color would best match with the song “Vals de las Mariposas”? I think that dress is made for a Masquerade or Mardi Gras theme! Also Renaissance theme. Possibly royalty theme as well. Sarah

Where do you live? I would say to try several, and ask around for a caterer by word of mouth. Check online reviews and make sure to sample the goods before selecting your caterer 🙂 Sarah

Hi Alisha, I think a Paris theme and a Nautical theme are really nice options for those colors. The color of the French flag is blue, white and red, and I have seen the Paris theme done in that color scheme. The Nautical theme is navy blue and white, but would look lovely with touches of red. Hi Karina, I think if you want a red dress, even if your bff is wearing one, I think you can still get a red dress. There are different shades of red, and different styles of dress. Focus on the best dress for YOU. I like a red and white roses theme, especially for December, very classy! How about making it Royal Roses or something to that effect, with some elements of royalty (crown, fancy decorations here and there, maybe a carriage) combined with a lot of red and white roses? Hi, I completely understand! Centerpieces are pretty stressful sometimes. The good news is that you are starting with enough time that you can start collecting things that you find on sale/find coupons for, such as Michaels coupons, Hobby Lobby, etc. Here’s a couple ideas:
1. If you set the tables up like this, you can get away with making/buying less centerpieces: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/449937818993574213/ I think this is kind of genius and it looks really pretty too
2. You could make centerpieces out of balloons and tulle and it would be really pretty: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/449937818992949635/ I think that bouquet on the bottom is pretty but optional.
3. Flowers submerged in water are super pretty. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/449937818992059012/You can find tulips relatively cheap at most grocery stores, in many colors. Start collecting the vases now and buy on sale or with 40% off coupon (Michaels, Joanns and HL always have those). Is there any themes with the colors of, purple and like a tan/light brown color?
The earth tone (tan) makes me think of an Enchanted Forest theme–or an “evening in the desert theme”, possibly? There are also some themes that can be used with almost any color scheme, like Princess or Butterfly. Sarah
All my friends recommended this website because it worked for them. I on the other hand love the themes and think they’re very creative, but I’m not a very girly person and they just didn’t define my personality. I love music, and Tim Burton and I do not dress like everyone else at all lol. Other than that, this website is amazing. 🙂
Hi, thank you 🙂 a quince theme is really personal. You have to go with something you like and fits your interests, sometimes one theme won’t even do it. I have also told other girls, if a traditional quince dress is not your style, try to find something that is!! Even if it’s not even a dress. If nothing else make yourself your own theme because your party is all about you–Sarah
