Are you going to be attending a quinceanera? There are a few things to keep in mind when you are planning your outfit for the event. Read on for some tips and ideas for what to wear to a quinceanera ~

Choosing your outfit for the quinceanera

There are a few important things to consider when selecting your outfit as a quinceanera guest. You want to walk a fine line so that you are not over-dressed, or under-dressed. One universal rule to keep in mind, is to never, under any circumstances, over-dress the quinceanera herself. This is her day to shine, and your outfit should not exceed hers or draw an unreasonable amount of attention.

Level of formality: Will this event be very formal, medium formal or more on the casual side? Were there any instructions on the invitation?

Location: Is the quinceanera beginning at a church? Will the party be indoors or outdoors? If the quince begins at church, you will want to make sure it is church appropriate. You can also add a wrap, shawl or jacket for this portion of the day.

Theme/color scheme: You don’t have to completely match the theme or color scheme but it is optional to loosely base your attire around it.

Weather: Will it be hot? Cold? Windy? These will be important questions when deciding what to wear and how to style your hair. It will likely be a long day, so try to think ahead on the weather conditions of the entire day!

Remember that quinceaneras are family events. Wearing clothes that are extremely revealing or see-through is not recommended.
